School-based writing award for high school sophomores and juniors, who must be nominated by an educator at their school and cannot nominate themselves. Nominated students submit writing on a yearly theme of up to ten pages. Nominations for the 2027 awards open in late October 2026 and close February 15, 2027, with results sent to nominating educators in mid-May.
Recognition only, no cash award. All nominated students receive a certificate, and First Class winners are named on the sponsor website.
