Arizona State Poetry Society Youth Contest

Statewide poetry contest for Arizona students in grades 1 to 12, with no entry fee and no membership required. Students may submit up to three poems on any topic, and the grades 9 to 12 bracket awards $50, $30, and $20 for first through third place. The 2026 contest closed March 31, 2026, and the sponsor says it will offer the contest again in 2027. The contests page says the contest opens each year on February 15 but lists both April 15 and April 30 as the closing date, so confirm the date in the 2027 rules.

In the grades 9 to 12 bracket, first place is $50, second place $30 and third place $20.
