Students in 10th or 11th grade who live in the United States and attend high school there first complete free online prerequisite courses, then apply to project-based courses held virtually or in person at MIT. The 2027 program runs July 5 to August 1.
Program charges a fee. $3,000 for families with income and assets of $200,000 or more; free for qualifying families. Housing is not included for in-person courses, and the online prerequisite courses are free.
