A national competition for U.S. high school teams that promotes careers in aviation. Participating schools receive free STEM curriculum that incorporates flight simulation and aircraft design. Each school may enter one team of at least three students, including at least two students of different genders unless the school is not coed, and registration is limited to the first 150 schools. Registration for the 2027 challenge closes December 18, 2026, and completed entries are due April 23, 2027.
First place is an all-expenses-paid trip for up to four students, one teacher and one chaperone. Second place is a two-day STEM lab at the school and third place is a one-year flight software subscription.
