About
Free, curated, privacy-first scholarship and program discovery built for Arizona's ~600,000 high school students. No accounts, no ads, no data resale — just the AZ-specific tools that should have existed already.
Mission
Arizona has hundreds of scholarships, internships, summer programs, and workforce opportunities specifically for AZ students. Most never get applied to — not because students don't want them, but because nobody built a single place that actually surfaces them, keeps them current, and treats students with respect.
The biggest commercial scholarship sites are national lead-generation tools that exist to sell student data to for-profit colleges. Their "Arizona scholarships" section is generic, often outdated, and frequently gated behind email signup walls.
This platform is the AZ-only alternative — built locally, maintained weekly, free forever, with a privacy posture that schools and parents can actually defend.
Who builds this
The platform is built and maintained by a current Arizona high school student who got tired of watching peers miss out on scholarships nobody had told them existed. It started as a personal project — built for every one of Arizona's ~600,000 high school students, regardless of whether they ever sign up. The catalog is the asset; everyone gets it free.
For press, school/district questions, or anything that needs a real name on a real email: azstudentopportunityhub@gmail.com.
Every listing link is automatically checked
An automated scanner checks every listing link in the catalog and publishes the full report — including any links currently returning errors — openly at /url-health.json.
Submissions are human-reviewed
Anyone can submit an opportunity via /submit, but nothing publishes automatically. The maintainer reviews each submission for accuracy, AZ relevance, and student safety before the entry lands in the catalog.
Student data never leaves the device
Bookmarks, application progress, profile data, document vault — all stored in the student's browser via localStorage / IndexedDB. We never see it. Closing the tab doesn't share it. Clearing browser data wipes it.
Anonymous community contribution
Outcome submissions and Wisdom Board tips are submitted anonymously via a curator-reviewed channel. We collect no name, email, or identifying info — just the opportunity ID + outcome + optional comment.
The promise
This isn't aspirational language. The platform's architecture is designed so that monetization-via-student-data isn't possible — there's nothing in localStorage or IndexedDB that we can read from a server, because there is no server reading from your browser. That's a deliberate technical constraint, not a privacy policy promise.
For schools & districts
The platform is free to use for every AZ student, family, counselor, and school — no accounts, no logins, no fees. Information about CTSOs (FBLA, HOSA, DECA, FCCLA, FFA, SkillsUSA, TSA) and their opportunities is provided independently as a public guide; we are not affiliated with any of these organizations.
