Modern States gives free online courses and a voucher that pays the CLEP exam fee. Pass the exam and Arizona colleges give you credit. Here is how, where to test and what each exam is worth.
Five steps
Take the free Modern States course for the exam you want (online, any pace).
Pass the course: an average of 75% on the quizzes and at least 75% on the course final. You can retry.
Ask for your voucher inside the course. The code usually arrives by email in minutes. Don’t buy the exam before it arrives.
Register for the CLEP exam on the College Board site with the code, then book a test center (or test from home with remote proctoring).
Send your score to your college. Check its CLEP table first so you take an exam it gives credit for.
Without a voucher the CLEP exam costs $97, plus the test center or remote fee. Source
