Teams of two high school students research a constitutional law question, write appellate briefs, and argue against other teams by video chat. All teams may enter the preliminary round, due November 6, 2026, and advancing teams continue to a semifinal round due December 11, 2026. The top two teams argue in the championship round in Washington, D.C. in March 2027, with airfare and hotel covered by the sponsor.
No cash prize is printed. The sponsor covers airfare and hotel for the two finalist teams and up to two chaperones per team for the championship round.
