Advancing Indigenous Science and Engineering Society (AISES)
What you'll need
Annual science and engineering fair for Indigenous students in grades 5-12, with junior and senior divisions. Students present original STEM research projects and may compete virtually or in person. Centered on Indigenous students nationwide; team projects must include at least one American Indian, Alaska Native, or Native Hawaiian member. Free to enter, with no regional qualification required. Cash prizes in both divisions; the two senior-division grand-prize winners (science and engineering) earn an all-expenses-paid trip to Regeneron ISEF, and the top 10% of the junior division are nominated to the Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge. The 2026 fair ran April 10-11 in Oklahoma City (virtual round April 3); 2027 dates were not yet posted at listing time. Some travel funding is allocated; otherwise in-person attendance is at your own cost.
