College students and college-bound high school seniors ages 17 to 24 who have experienced the death of a parent or legal guardian can apply. Applicants submit a 500 word essay or a 3 minute video on how the loss affected their life financially and emotionally. Scholarships are used at a college, university or trade school in the US or Puerto Rico. The 2027 application is open February 1 through March 1, 2027.
