Astronomical League
Deadline shown is curated from the official program page. Programs occasionally shift dates between cycles — confirm the current deadline on the official site before you finalize your application.
What you'll need
A national award from the Astronomical League recognizing outstanding astronomical research by high-school-age students, ages 14 to 19, who are U.S. citizens or enrolled in a U.S. high school and are not enrolled in more than one college course when they apply. Applicants submit an application package by the annual March 31 deadline, and League membership is recommended. The first-place winner receives a telescope, and the top two winners receive an expense-paid trip to the national convention.
