Young filmmakers from grade 3 through age 25 submit a short environmental film, and there are no submission fees. Entrants in grade 11 and younger must highlight solutions to an environmental sustainability topic, while grade 12 and university entrants have more freedom with topics. Students in grades 9 to 11 compete for a $350 cash prize, while grade 12 students compete with university students for a $1,000 college scholarship. Each winner also chooses a nonprofit or community sustainability project to receive a matching grant of the same amount. Entries are due June 25, 2027.
