Becoming a pharmacist means earning a PharmD — built on a strong science foundation, real pharmacy experience, and a few admissions details that have changed lately. Here's the roadmap, so you can plan it without surprises.
A strong science GPA and real pharmacy hours matter most
The PharmD runs on grades and genuine exposure to the field. Get certified and work as a pharmacy technician, shadow pharmacists in a few settings, and confirm each program's current PCAT policy — many have dropped it, so don't prepare for a test you may not need.
Keep going: weigh a biology degree, compare the pre-med roadmap, and check if it will pay off.
